IMAX® Victoria Special Event - Shore to Shore is about the remarkable and little-known story of Portuguese Joe Silvey and his life with the Coast Salish People, the Whalers, immigrants, and pioneers who founded the City of Vancouver.
The film tells the story through the process of the creation and installation of a monumental sculpture in Stanley Park, Vancouver, created by Ladysmith-based master-carver, Luke Marston.
The event includes:
6 – 7pm – Sculpture viewing and meet and greet with artist Luke Marston and film director Peter Campell
7:15pm – Screening of Shore to Shore w/ opening remarks from director Peter Campbell

In this introductory relief printmaking workshop, Marlene Yuen will show you how to take your own image, transfer it to a Speedy Carve block, and carve a linocut-style stamp.
