This fall, The Story Collection returns with stories about death, dying, and the thresholds we cross along the way. Inspired by themes woven through our feature exhibition, Ancient Egypt: Obsessed with Life, which examines ancient Egyptian funerary practices and beliefs about the afterlife, this evening brings together community storytellers to share real, personal stories connected to death and dying in all their forms.

The ocean is the blue heart and lungs of our planet, pumping nutrients around the globe and producing half the oxygen we breathe. It is our shared future. Join an epic adventure from the deep fjords of Norway where orcas teach their young to hunt, to Raja Ampat in Indonesia, home to the richest biodiversity on Earth and where a groundbreaking project is saving endangered sharks. Dive with wolffish, the guardians of the kelp forest, as they use their powerful jaws to protect the forest from sea urchins. Be mesmerized by the splendor of the rarely seen Bikini Atoll where marine life that disappeared after nuclear testing over 50 years ago is thriving again. The ocean is being challenged, but in every corner of the globe are inspirational stories of resilience and recovery. When given a chance, the oceans can heal and dreams can become reality.
