BC Archives Pass Registration

  1. Researchers must abide by RBCM and BC Archives’ policies and procedures.
  2. Researchers are reminded that they will be handling unique and fragile records; records must be treated with care. Records must not be marked or defaced in any way; only a pencil may be used when working at the BC Archives and the arrangement of records in files must not be disturbed.
  3. Researchers wishing to purchase copies of or photograph archival records will notify staff. Copies may be used for reference and study purposes only. All copying is subject to copyright law and any donor or other restrictions governing use of material in the Archives. Researchers wishing to publish or otherwise disseminate unpublished material should consult with staff.
  4. BC Archives reserves the right to limit the number of items copied, or to decline to make reproductions of any particular item, especially if such reproduction cannot be done without damage to the material.
  5. Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of Section 4 of the Museum Act (SBC 2003, c.12) and is will be used to maintain our researcher list, assist researchers and ensure secure use of records. Only researchers who have consented to be contacted, will be notified of information on current events or Archives updates.
